Shame on the Richmond Renaissance and the VaPAF!

This owner also has two other vacant properties listed in the same area — but those are listed under the name the Virginia Performing Arts Center.
All of these properties sit near the owner’s biggest vacant propery— one of the most notorious vacant buildings in the city — The Carpenter Center. Shuttered, with its marquee in tatters and its insides rotting from two years of neglect, the Carpenter Center has been shut down since the public-private partnership that owns it squandered the venue’s operating endowment.
These owners were supposed to sign the title of the Carpenter over to the city four months ago in exchange for $23 million in City of the Future funds… but they must be waiting for a better deal to come along. Or something.

I know someone who would buy this in a second if only the owner would consider selling!
