This is an abandoned property at 3124 Edgewood Avenue owned by Everett H Mosby Jr. This property has been brought to the city’s attention multiple times and yet nothing continues to be done about the poor condition of the building. City inspector Tom White has spoken to me several times about this matter yet no meaningful action has been taken against this property owner. The trash on the front porch has been there for almost two years. Ths latest problem is a family of raccoons that is inhabiting the attic and open back porch of the house. Richmond Animal Control refused to take care of this matter, and this puts neighbors and their pets in danger. This community is trying to revitalize but with property owners like this who are not held accountable by the city, the process is being help up significantly. I truly regret that I must call this city my home, because they have failed miserably in working with at least one responsible citizen in myself.
