for choosing to make a quick profit on the sale of this 1880s farm house, which he has now covered with vinyl siding. Mr. Prasad also covered one of the second story windows – I guess he is working hard to keep this house on the market for as long as he can – I cannot imagine anyone would purchase the house now that he has made 518 N. 25th a permanent vinyl-clad eyesore.
The building permit application was sadly dated a few weeks shy of the Church Hill North Old and Historic District designation that would have protected the house from this estate ‘investor’(who is also on the board of Virginia Supportive Housing!!!) Mr. Prasad recieved a private consultation on historic tax credits which would benefit the neighborhood and his sale price if he followed the old & historic restoration guidelines. Instead of following the neighborhood’s committment to architectural preservation and restoration, Mr. Prasad has decided to pursue a quick profit on the sale of this house, rather than contribute to the fabric of our neighborhood’s Old and Historic District.
